Initially designed by Justin Ternes for himself, the Grouse is made to cover a wide spectrum of surfing. Due to its width and volume, this is a board you can surf a bit shorter than your regular board.

A single to slight double concave running nose to tail and forgiving rails keep things simple and fast. The Grouse is the ultimate performance groveler that rides waves ranging from knee- to head-high and delivers drop in after drop in.
As the Resident Shaper at Forecast, Justin Ternes — JT — is a San Diego–based shaper and founder of Dark Arts Surf. After creating the first composite surfboard brand to win a World Title, his passion for exploring, learning, and experimenting are as fresh as they were when he started out 30 years ago.
